About Us
5.65 Million Beneficiaries in 18 Countries Last Year
For nearly 50 years, one non-profit
organization has been dedicated to creating a
Hemisphere of Opportunity for All
in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Pan American Development Foundation unites stakeholders to create and implement programs that create lasting opportunities for the most disadvantaged in Latin America and the Caribbean.
By working closely with civil society, the private sector and governments, PADF builds programs that create jobs, enhance education, build lasting skills, foster community participation and strengthen resiliency. It completes its mission by empowering people and form lasting partnerships.
PADF also works to relieve the suffering and rebuild communities after natural and humanitarian disasters. After the devastating earthquake on January 12 in Haiti, PADF was a first responder that helped to save lives. During the first eight weeks after the worst natural disaster in the Western Hemisphere's history, PADF's work benefited more than 300,000 people. http://www.panamericanrelief.org/
In its past fiscal year, PADF had a positive impact on more than 5.65 million people in 18 countries. With its headquarters in Washington, D.C., PADF has field offices in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Haiti and elsewhere.
PADF is an independent affiliate of the Organization of American States (OAS), the world's oldest regional body that represents the democratically elected governments in the Western Hemisphere. For more information about PADF, please visit http://www.padf.org/
